Clapton Park Management Organisation is a Tenant Management Organisation (TMO) that manages social housing on behalf of London Borough of Hackney. It currently manages 1189 properties in Clapton Park, Nye Bevan and Millfields Estates.

Our historyOur team

Our History

In 1992 residents of Clapton Park came together and campaigned for Clapton Park, Nye Bevan and Millfields estates to be run independently by the residents. After several years of campaigning Clapton Park Management Organisation was officially formed in 1994 as a Tenant Management Organisation (TMO).

This means that we are governed and managed by a Board which is led by local people. The Board work with tenants, leaseholders, TMO staff and Hackney Council to achieve the common goal of making sure that Clapton Park is a safe, enjoyable and well maintained area to live.

Become a Shareholder

Anyone over the age of 16, is a Tenant or Leaseholder in either Clapton Park, Nye Bevan and Millfields Estates can register to become a member of Clapton Park Management Organisation and it only costs 20p!

As a member you will be able to attend General Meetings including the Annual General Meeting where as a member you can stand for election to join the Management Board.

Being involved in the TMO gives you a voice in different ways. You can engage us about issues that really matter to you and your neighbours.  For example, issues related to parking; concerns about children’s play areas; general upkeep and cleanliness of your block or that of the green areas.  A local housing office allows the organisation to address these in a timely and efficient manner.

Resident-led housing is successful because local people can take control of their housing service and ensure local needs are met and that the neighbourhood is clean, safe and well run. There are lots of ways you can get involved with your TMO, including joining the Management Board or any of its subcommittees.

To become a member, simply download a Membership Application Form here.  Once completed and signed, this should be returned to us either by visiting us at the local neighbourhood housing office (4a Gilpin Road, London, E5 0HL) or by email CPMO@hackney.gov.uk.
