Garage Rentals
We have a number of garages across the estate that you are able to rent for your car and or bikes. You don’t need to be a resident of Clapton Park Management Organisation to be able to rent a garage. Attached is the application form. Garage Waiting List.docx.
As a Clapton Park Management Organisation resident you cannot be in arrears to make an application. In addition, anyone who rents a garage and falls into arrears will have the use of the garage withdrawn.
We’re unable to confirm how long it might be before you are allocated a garage. Waiting times depend on priority, numbers of applicants and the number of garages available in your preferred areas.
Garage Costs
The weekly cost of a garage in the financial year 2022/2023 is for residents of Clapton Park Management Organisation residents:
- £14.75 for underground garages
- £18.90 for overground garages
The weekly charge of renting a garage for anyone who is not a Clapton Park Management Organisation resident is:
- £17.70 a week (including VAT) for underground garages
- £22.68 (including VAT) for overground garages
The costs are reviewed and increased annually.
Problems paying your garage rent
We operate a zero tolerance on garage arrears. If you’re having problems paying your garage rent, contact us immediately. You’re at risk of losing your garage if you fail to comply with the terms of the garage agreement. If you owe the equivalent of four weeks garage rent, we’ll issue you with a written notice and we’ll take possession of your garage after seven days.
We have a number of garages across Hackney for a convenient, secure and economical way to store your car or bike.
You don’t have to be a council tenant or leaseholder to rent a garage.
